To ensure the highest accuracy when using the SureFood AI import tool, please follow these formatting and data structure requirements.
1. Document & File Requirements
- Single Product Focus: PDFs, Word docs, and image files must contain information for only one product per file. Multi-product documents are not supported and will lead to data errors.
- File Limits: Ensure files do not exceed 10 pages or 10MB in size.
- Excel/CSV Formatting: Spreadsheet files (XLSX/CSV) are intended for bulk data only. Do not upload single-product spec sheets in a spreadsheet format.
2. Bulk Data Strategy
- Recommended: Use the Nutritics Template. For the fastest results with minimal errors and no manual mapping, reformat your data into our [Downloadable Excel Template].
- Custom Bulk Imports: If using your own file structure, you will be required to manually map your column headings to Nutritics fields. This may require additional manual verification after import.
3. Data Integrity & Content Rules
To minimize errors during the AI validation phase, ensure your data meets these standards:
- Allergen Labeling: Record allergens clearly using terms like Yes, Present, or Contains.
- Specific Nut Sub-species: You must specify the exact nut (e.g., Walnuts or Cashews) rather than the generic term Tree Nuts.
- Specific Cereals (Gluten): You must specify the grain (e.g., Wheat, Oats, Barley, Rye) rather than the generic term Gluten.
- Quantified Weights: All items must have a numeric weight. Generic units like 1 each or 1 piece are not supported.
- Standardized Portions: Break units of measure into three distinct columns:
- Portion Name (e.g., Large Slice)
- Portion Weight (e.g., 50)
- Unit of Measure (e.g., g)
