About Climate Smart Chef
Life Climate Smart Chefs is a European project receiving funding from the LIFE Programme of the European Union.
It aims to contribute to the development and implementation of the EU Climate Policy and the Farm to Fork (F2F) Strategy by actively involving European chefs as promoters of low emission, nutritious and affordable diets, and to promote a mainstream debate on food as a key factor for climate change mitigation.
About Foodprint
Foodprint is a fully automated, easy-to-use carbon and water impact scoring, display, and emission reporting system for the hospitality and food service (HaFS) sector. Developed by Nutritics within the Life Climate Smart Chefs project, Foodprint combines the latest research with cutting-edge technology to support chefs and organisations on their journey to net zero.
Foodprint empowers both food businesses and their customers to make more informed and environmentally-conscious decisions and may play a key role in achieving emerging legislation on emission reporting. Businesses can use Foodprint technology to add a carbon footprint score to packaging, dishes, and promotional materials and communicate this with customers and clients.
